I agree, I use all of this on my daily system for that reason.
But those scripts are supposed to be part of my effort to officially
support s6/s6-rc on Gentoo. Thus I have to assume that they will be run
on random configurations, under random conditions, by random users doing
random stuff to them. I want them to be as safe and foolproof as possible.
